Jane Levinson Contemporary Fused Glass Artist

My background in fused glass started in 2005, studying in Bristol and Bath and regularly attending Masterclasses over the years in order to introduce and further develop my portfolio of techniques and effects covering a variety of kiln formed glass processes.

My contemporary design concepts are inspired by natural organic shapes colours & textures

Each individual piece of kiln formed glass is handmade at my Studio in Dorset using art glass . I am able to demonstrate& contrast a diverse spectrum of colours ranging from muted gentle tints to brilliant saturated tones.

All of the kiln formed pieces undergo a number of stages from the conceptual design & are kilned several times to create diverse textures, depth of light and shapes.

Each item is then manipulated often using my own moulds in order to develop fluid movement within the final glass piece.

They are then cold worked to produce a professional finish.
